Amazing Table Transformation

I found this table at a local thrift store and decided it needed a little love. The legs were backwards, and it was scratched up and tired looking. I knew a little Junk Monkey Paint would bring it back to life.

Would you like to take a shabby, tired piece of furniture and give it a simple update.

After turning the legs around and cleaning the piece, I was ready to paint. There is no need for sanding or priming with Junk Monkey Paint. I put on one coat so the wood tone comes thru a little for distressed look.

I clean the table to prepare for painting. With the chalky style paint I use there is no sanding required.

I used Junk Monkey Paint Olive You More. After it dried I used Junk Monkey Black Glaze. It works really well on a table with the detail like this because it stays in the cracks and gives a beautiful distressed look.

The final touch is the finishing coat. I used Minwax Polycrylic for the finish. It is a little tougher finish which I like on a table top since it gets more use then some pieces. I love the final result! There are no rules with chalk paint. I always say, if you like it then it was a success, and this was a great success for me. I love it!
